Exploratory Sketching
Loose, exploratory sketches used to quickly communicate early-stage ideas. These line drawings prioritize concept variety and functionality over precision, and often disregard perspective or shading. They serve as a foundation for discussion and creative direction at the earliest point in the process.

Preliminary Development
Focused on solving design challenges, these sketches introduce basic form and function while capturing early intent. They often include minimal color, annotations, and arrows to convey interaction points, product details, and initial design direction.

Concept Development
A more refined stage of ideation, these sketches emphasize form development, brand language, and user interaction. Elements such as color, shading, material cues, and texture are used to communicate a clearer vision of the product.

Concept Rendering
High-fidelity sketches used to communicate a proposed final direction. These renderings highlight key design elements like visual brand language (VBL), color, material, and finish (CMF). They’re often used to gather feedback from stakeholders and serve as stand-ins for final documentation during the development process.
